Thème 4: 2009, année européenne de la créativité et de l'innovation: résultat des recherches

The program « Global action 2007-2010 »


The UE acts for young people thanks to a program named “Jeunesse en action” (2007-2013).


* “Jeunesse pour l'Europe”: to develop citizenship and comprehension between young people

* SVE (Le service volontaire européen): It allows young people to go abroad and take part in general interest works.

* “Jeunesse dans le monde”: to promote exchanges of young people and cooperation with other countries all over the world.

* « Soutien aux acteurs de jeunesse » : to share young people’s qualifications to talk about these in european countries or across the world

* European political cooperation (for young people): to encourage exchanges and debates between young people from different countries


eTwinning project:


eTwinning is an action based on online projects between at least two schools from at least two different European countries. With nearly 50000 users from all over European countries, more and more teachers said that they found new ways to develop education thanks to it.


Erasmus:


European scheme for the mobility of university students.

European student exchange programme established in 1987


Specific objectives:


1. To improve the quality and to increase the number of students and teaching mobility throughout Europe. the goal is to reach at least 3 million students and teachers exchanges by 2012.

2. To improve the quality and to increase cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe.

3. To improve and to increase cooperation between higher education and firms.

4. To spread innovations and pedagogic practices and supports between universities in Europe.


2009 is the year about creativity and innovations. Its motto is “Imagine, Create, Innovate”. It is about economical development and individual and social well-being. This project aims at using the knowledge and innovations in the world of today, in different sectors like education, etc...

In general, the European year revolves around a topic and a lot of discussions, exhibitions, or debates are organised around these themes during the year.
